How to make ladybug magnets
These ladybug magnets are easy enough for kids to make and are a fun way to use junk mail, magazines or scrap paper and magnet advertisements.

Materials:
Red and black scrap paper, magazine pages or junk mail
Hole puncher
Paper glue
Scissors
Small round objects to trace circles

Select a small round object and another about ¾ of the size of the first
Trace the larger round object 1 time on the red paper and 1 time on the black paper
Trace the small round object 1 time on the black paper
Cut out the circles

Fold the red circle in half

Cut the circle in half using the crease line as a guide

Glue the half circles at a slight angle on top of the larger black circle.
This will be the body of the ladybug

Glue the body on top of the small black circle so that about ¼ is sticking out

Punch 8 or more black circles with the hole puncher
Punch out 2 red circles

Cut 2 strips of red paper a little thinner than the circles

Glue a red circle to the end of each strip

Glue the strips to the underside of the head
Glue the black circles on the wings

Glue the ladybug to the printed side of the advertisement magnet.
*Make sure the antennas are sticking out.
